Objectives & Stage

  • Start with low magnification (e.g., 10×) to find the specimen; then step up.
  • Use immersion oil only with 100× oil (OF26).
  • X/Y micrometers move laterally; Z focus adjusts the focal plane. Avoid objective–coverslip contact.
